This project aims to replace 20% of our Police and Fire Mobile Data Computer (MDC) fleet annually, ensuring that our emergency response teams have up-to-date and reliable equipment.
Project Justification
Replacing 20% of our Police and Fire MDC fleet each year is essential to keep pace with technological advancements and to avoid the issues associated with outdated hardware, such as decreased performance, increased maintenance costs, and security vulnerabilities. Modern MDCs offer improved processing power, improved connectivity options, enhanced security features, and enhanced durability, which are vital for supporting the critical and demanding tasks of our first responders.
