Project Description

This project aims to replace the existing phone system routers with modern, high-performance routers. Upgrading our phone system routers will improve call quality, reliability, and security, ensuring that our local government can maintain efficient and uninterrupted communication.

Project Justification

Replacing the outdated phone system routers is essential to prevent communication disruptions and improve call quality. Modern routers offer advanced features such as enhanced Quality of Service (QoS), better bandwidth management, and stronger security protocols, which are vital for supporting the increasing demands on our phone systems. Our current phone routers are past their useful life, installed in 2025, and are out of support. The system is beginning to have more frequent failures as a result. This project is setting aside funding over 3 years to finance the replacement in 2030.
