Project Description

This project aims to replace the outdated storage hardware within our IT infrastructure. This storage hardware is used to house all data for the town. The storage has built-in redundancy to handle hard drive failures without losing critical data.

Project Justification

Replacing our aging storage hardware is vital to prevent data bottlenecks, reduce the risk of data loss, and maintain seamless access to critical information. Modern storage solutions offer advanced features such as improved data redundancy, faster retrieval times, and enhanced security measures. The upgrade will significantly enhance data storage capacity, reliability, and performance, ensuring that our local government can securely manage and access its expanding volume of digital information. Storage hardware needs replacement every 6 years due to the constantly spinning disk and moving parts. This project is setting aside funding over 4 years to finance the replacement in 2033.
