Project Description
Replace 2014 Freightliner Vactor Truck. The truck is used for hydro-excavating and cleaning out drains and pipes. It is a crucial piece of equipment in operations it allows response to water and sewer breaks and it allows digging up utilities with the use of water to reduce the risk of damage to the utilities.
Project Justification
Based on anticipated mileage and maintenance costs, the vehicle will reach the end of its useful life by FY 2029. Vehicles and equipment are routinely evaluated and confirmed prior to the year of purchase based on a vehicle scoring model.
