Project Description

Rehabilitation of the Village in the Meadows Lift Station with an at-grade lift station.  Includes removal of can, pump and interior piping replacement, and new valve chamber to eliminate confined space.

Project Justification

In 2023, the Town contracted with AECOM to perform a condition assessment of all Town-owned sanitary sewer lift stations.  Village in the Meadows Lift Station is a can station that was constructed in 1972.  A retrofit project was completed in 2010 to replace the pumping and control panel equipment.  This station is generally in poor condition.  Maintenance access is very challenging since the pumps are submersible and installed below the can, with guide rails mounted to the discharge piping, which terminate below the floor of the can.
